‘FLORA TUDELA’
This urban exercise consisted in the study of the city of Tudela, Spain. Its purpose was to challenge us as urban thinkers and demonstrate our way of reasoning and proposing urban regenerations. The area of study presented many poor aspects such as very narrow streets and neglected spaces. As well as abandoned buildings and very little social interaction between neighbors.
That been said, the solution given to these problematic consisted in distinct fases. One was to take down all of those buildings that had not use or were abandoned. Then, a new freshly designed plot with more vegetation and socially friendly environment is established. The next and last stage consists on the creation of commercial and habitable spaces by using those buildings that can be taken on advantage or in other cases, construct new ones. The objective of this idea is to guarantee Tudelan citizens and visitors a good quality space in which they can feel comfortable and safe while developing a better urban manner in the city.
