‘CITADEL MUSEUM’

Located in the Citadel of Pamplona, the topic of this exercise consisted in the to proposal the of an art museum, where the main objective was to put in practice the student’s ability to develop an integrated building, fulfilling safety services, construction formalities and establishing a proper connection with the monument of the citadel.

The idea of this proposal is to bring visitors a unique experience full of mind boggling elements that incite curiosity and wonder. As first impression, the access of the building provides guests a sense of scale and interest by having an immense gabilon wall filled with rocks. Once the entrance is passed, the interior of the museum is actually found on the underground where the intention is to resemble the idea of a passage, setting the accesses with looped ramps in different sectors of the building, solving at the same time the mobility for the handicapped.
